Before I knew everything about Copyright, I thought it was just had to deal with music. After learning about it, I realized that it wasn't just music, but also papers, videos, and much more. I now know that illegally downloading a song can lead up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
A real life example of piracy is a man named John worked at home for a company where he had 45 computers. His company was trying to save money but he had to purchase some software. He decided that he would save money by buying it for one computer then downloading it to all the others. Eventually he got caught and had to delete everything he didn't pay for. He was also fined $270,000. You can see the whole case at: Piracy He broke the law because he only paid for the software for one computer but illegally downloaded it to the other 44 also. I think his punishment was fair because what he did was wrong and deserves to be taught a lesson.

Technology Autobiography
When it comes to technology I absolutely love it! I feel pretty experienced with technology such as cell phones and computers. I have been using computers since about first grade where we did typing programs to help us get better at typing at a young age. Other than that, when it comes to using computers for school purposes, I don't have the greatest knowledge for all of the programs. I know how to use the basics such as Microsoft word and Microsoft PowerPoint but there is so many other great programs out there that I do not know how to use that I would like to learn how to.
Some of my other technology experiences are outside of school where I like to use the computer. I like to keep up with my friends on Facebook and Twitter. Sites like this help you to know about upcoming evens, birthdays, and also to keep up with people that may live somewhere else or you don't see often. I also love cell phones. They are such an easy way for you to communicate with everyone, even when you aren't supposed to.
In the future, I feel that technology will be a huge part of everyone's life. I say this because now there is so much technology can do. Some examples of this is when you have surgery, it might be preformed by a robot type thing or a very sophisticated machine. Also in the future I think everyone will rely on technology for everything therefore, they will be lost if something happened and they had to do everything the "old fashioned way" which in the future would be the way we do things now.
