Recently, we learned about how different aspects of an ad can affect ones view on a product. For example, ads are usually read in a "Z" pattern. I made an ad for a Mercy Academy lacrosse game. I used many tools to add flair to the ad. Some of the tools were the lasso tool which helps to but a specific part of a picture out, the text tool which lets you insert text, and the color tool which lets you change the color of different things. More tools I used are rotating pictures, the move tool to move pictures and text, the swatches tool which lets you find colors that go well together and the scale tool which lets you resize photos. The last few tools I used are the opacity tool which lets you dim images, the filter tools which lets you add effects to your photos, the blur tool which helps to blend images together, and the dodge tool which help to brighten an image. The audience of my ad is the schools and fans of Mercy sports. I made this poster to let people know about a very big, upcoming game where a lot of support for the team will be needed.

Logo Project

Recently, we learned about how businesses represent their companies through logos. There is a wide variety of logos ranging from very simple to very complex. My logo communicates its purpose because it tells you what the club is and shows you the equipment that is used for playing. I chose the colors because they are all a form of blue and blue is one of our school colors. I used lines to make straight lines so that I wouldn't have to free hand them therefore they would be straight. I used the shape tool to make the ball because in real life, the ball is a perfect sphere. The last tool I used is repetition. I made one lacrosse stick and I used a tool so that I could get the exact lacrosse stick so they would look the exact same and be the same size.
